St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra Featuring UWRF pianist Gustavo Ibarro

The St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra will feature UWRF pianist Gustavo Ibarro in the Liszt Piano Concerto No. 2, as a highlighted event of the Piano Festival at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. Also on the program will be Denny McGinn, Wagner Tuba, playing the Irish classic, Donegal Bay. Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante in E flat, K. 364, will highlight the talents of Michael Miller, violin and John Rose, viola. Egmont Overture by Beethoven is also on this program directed by Dr. Kristin Tjornehoj, alongside the St. Croix Valley Flute Choir, led by Denny Hartung, MD.

Features the SCVSO and Karrin Meffort- Nelson, clarinet, will perform the Clarinet Concerto, No. 2 by Oscar Navarro. Other works on the program include Paconchita by Navarro; An Early Evening Walk, featuring Drew Olson, tuba; and Danzón No. 2 by Marquez. The Symphony Band also performs on this concert with music by Javier Pérez Garrido, Jóse Rafael Pascual Viliplana, Gregory Fritze, and more.
